Over the past month we made substantial improvements to the Visual Design Studio, released a new version of the SpiffWorkflow Library, and started a new weekly publication on workflow orchestration in the age of AI.

## SpiffWorkflow Library v3.2.0

Our first official release since October 2025 brings substantial optimizations and performance improvements. We now support and test against Python versions 3.10 through 3.14. Welcome to first-time contributors Christian Fischer, Milan Lesnek, and Sanjay Santhanam. ## Major Usability Improvements to the Visual Design Studio

See these new features in a [video demo](https://studio.youtube.com/video/fjFiJOg5HDA/edit?theme=dark).

- **Project-wide search.** Search across the entire project (many BPMN files) for task names, IDs, instructions, and scripts — clicking a result opens the tab and selects the matching task.
- **Improved keyboard shortcuts.** Navigate and modify diagrams without touching the mouse. Move between tasks with Ctrl+arrow keys, and open editors for instructions (Ctrl+I), scripts (Ctrl+E), and web forms (Ctrl+F). - **Quick access to sample data.** Once you have a recording of a workflow process, pull that data straight into your forms and Markdown rendering. This is a big timesaver when a diagram references many variables.
- **Improved AI skills.** We continue refining our AI instructions so diagram modifications are accurate, follow best practices, and produce a final diagram that is attractive and easy to read.

## A New Way to Share Files

We are developing a new way to collaborate on workflow diagrams by introducing a new file management service. This will allow users of our Visual Design Studio to deploy their workflows instantly to Arena. It will also support multi-user editing, so multiple people can work on the same diagram at once.

We are thinking hard about how to apply this technology ethically while also fostering human-to-human collaboration.
